It’s a big month for game-changing architect/urban planner Vishaan Chakrabarti, formerly a principal at SHoP Architects.

Chakrabarti, turning 50, announced last week that he is leaving SHoP and launching his own firm, Partnership for Architecture and Urbanism.

And now, according to city property records, Chakrabarti and wife Maria Alataris have closed on a $5.78 million unit at 35 W. 15th St., an Alchemy Properties-developed luxury condo known as 35XV.

The apartment is smart wired, with finishes that include walnut-stained white oak floors and a chef’s kitchen.

The master suite comes with large closets and a spa-like master bathroom with a steam shower, soaking tub, radiant heat, marble floors and a custom marble slab countertop with a double sink.

Building amenities include a gym that overlooks an outdoor terrace, a climate-controlled walk-in wine cellar for each residence, an entertainment lounge, dining room and children’s playroom.
