Atlantic writer Ta-Nehisi Coates — who has established himself as the country’s preeminent author on African-American issues — has purchased a spectacular three-story home at 207 Lincoln Road in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens.

The landmarked Brooklyn brownstone sold for its full $2.1 million asking price.

Coates used an LLC, Ellen And William Craft Excursions, to purchase the home.

Some background: Ellen and William Craft were slaves in Georgia who made an extraordinary escape to freedom in Philadelphia.

In 1848, they fled in plain sight.

Ellen disguised herself as a white male; William was her slave. In a story made for Hollywood, they traveled first class, dined with a steamboat captain, stayed in top hotels and made it to freedom, as chronicled in their extraordinary book, “Running A Thousand Miles for Freedom.”

The brownstone boasts original hardwood floors, wedding cake moldings, pocket doors, tin ceilings and original fireplace mantels.

There’s also a formal dining room and a modern eat-in chef’s kitchen with sliding glass doors that lead to the terrace and garden.

The home also has a roomy backyard and an upgraded basement.

Corcoran brokers Keith Mack and Sylvia Dimova shared the listing.
