A few weeks ago, NYP Home reported on the somewhat wobbly Harlem real estate market. Some of the new buildings looked like they were in OK shape — others looked a little shaky. (Local broker Willie K. Suggs definitely took the award for the most blunt assessment: “Condos are in deep doo-doo.”)
One of the buildings that definitely caught our eye and which is forging ahead — doo-doo real estate market be damned — was PS90, a turn-of-the-century former schoolhouse on 148th Street, which was abandoned sometime in the 1970s and is now being turned into luxury condos.
In fact, in preparation for the opening of the building’s sales office in the middle of this month, the developer has sent around its shiny new renderings:
The lobby at PS90
Bet they didn’t have that when you were in public school.
