Celeb chef Charlie Palmer and wife, Lisa, are in contract to buy an apartment at 70 Charlton in white-hot West SoHo/Hudson Square — an area seeing a bevy of new luxury residential development.
Palmer, whose empire includes popular eateries Charlie Palmer Steak at 5 E. 54th St., with a 400-label wine list, and Aureole at One Bryant Park — is also a California hotelier with Hotel Healdsburg in Sonoma County, Mystic Hotel in San Francisco and St. Helena’s Harvest Inn.

“Lisa and I will always have a home in New York City and West SoHo is an exciting neighborhood for us. I love the access to the West Side Highway to run in the mornings.
I think the big attraction is that the building has so many fabulous amenities and will be a comfortable home for us,” Palmer tells Gimme Shelter.
The building was designed by Beyer Blinder Belle, with interiors by Workshop/APD, for Extell Development.
Amenities include a landscaped courtyard, an outdoor sports court, a residents’ lounge with a catering kitchen, gym, salt water pool, steam room, locker room — and a cold storage package room for grocery and flower deliveries.
