A charming 1920s firehouse that formerly housed Oscar-winning director Spike Lee’s production company has finally found a buyer after being on and off the market for the past 10 years.

The 25-foot-wide home, at 124 DeKalb Avenue in Fort Greene, was last asking $4.9 million and was once listed for as much as $5.2 million in 2016.

The three-story building, which is now in contract to a mystery buyer, was converted into two loft condos in the 1980s and can be “easily” transformed into a single-family home, brokers say.

With 5,775 square feet in total, the property currently features two bedrooms and three bathrooms, along with firehouse details like a pole. There are also original Art Deco accents, 16-foot ceilings, lots of storage and a two-car garage.

The buyer is a businessman with quite the car collection who plans to house “at least” three cars in the home, sources say. 124 DeKalb sits on a prime corner of Fort Greene Park and also served as a civil defense bomb shelter.

The listing broker was Sarah Adler of CitiHabitats.
