Is Chris Christie a New Yorker now?

The former New Jersey governor and his wife Mary Pat paid $1.5 million for a two-bedroom, two-bath loft inside a storied co-op in prime Gramercy.

City records obtained by The Post show the unit closed on April 9. It is unclear what the Christies intend to use this space for. The Post has reached out for comment.

The seller was listed as a man named Jean-Pierre Riou. Transfer taxes alone ran over $42,000.

The building has serious pedigree. The structure dates to 1899, built as the Gramercy Exchange Building for the New York Telephone Company.

Today its amenities include a marble lobby, video intercom security and a super on call.

The apartment itself has the bones to match.

Ceilings clear 11 feet. Three oversized windows look out over a tree-lined block. The kitchen is stocked with Viking, Sub-Zero and Miele appliances. The primary suite has floor-to-ceiling closets and a private bath. The second bedroom pulls double duty as a den with built-in shelving.

Buzzy bars and eateries Pete’s Tavern, Gramercy Tavern and Casa Mono can be found on the block. And the Union Square Greenmarket is steps away.
