John Legend and Chrissy Teigen have slashed a hefty $6 million off of their asking price for their Beverly Hills family mansion.
The couple first listed the home last summer for $23.95 million following the chaos of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The price dropped slowly over the past year and it’s now listed at $17.95 million.
“It was too aspirational to start with that high of a price,” Myra Nourmand, a principal and agent with Nourmand & Associates, told Realtor. She specializes in marketing and selling luxury properties from Beverly Hills to Malibu.
“They were competing with areas such as Beverly Hills proper and Bel-Air that have all sold in the $20 million-plus range,” she added.
Legend, 42, and Teigen, 35, first purchased the home (formerly owned by Rihanna) in 2016 for $14.1 million, where they proceeded to transform the home into their own ultra stylish abode — complete with the culinary touches Teigen is known for. Many of the home’s luxurious features served as the backdrop to her latest cookbook, “Cravings: Hungry for More.”
