Grammy Award-winning musician DJ Khaled has sold his South Florida home for just under $5 million.

The producer was in contract to sell his three-story home at 3914 Island Estates Drive in Aventura in March. But the New York buyer fell sick with the coronavirus and decided not to close, sources said.

Then the price dropped. Originally asking $7.99 million in 2018 — the same year that Khaled bought a bigger waterfront manse for $21.75 million — the home was last asking $5.5 million and will close for around $4.87 million.

Khaled bought the five-bedroom home for $3.84 million in 2015, then spent $2.5 million on “extras,” including a room that fits at least 500 pairs of sneakers.

The new buyer is embattled Canadian trader Simon Librati, along with two of his business partners. Librati, repped by Cat Gomez and Julian Johnston of Corcoran, saw the house for the first time this month and is slated to close this week so he can move in by July 4.

“It all happened within a few weeks,” said listing broker Janet Ben Zvi, of One Sotheby’s International Realty. The buyer, she added, “loves the house and wants to have a big party there for the Fourth of July.”

The Mediterranean-style villa sits on half an acre and features a “tropical” pool, a hot tub, a fire pit, a bamboo grove and a 50-foot boat dock on 240 feet of waterfront, with water and city views.

There’s also a chef’s kitchen, a wine room, marble and walnut floors, 30-foot ceilings, an elevator, a granite staircase and a movie room with killer acoustics.

This week, Khaled, a 44-year-old music executive who also has a home goods line, flew a mask-wearing team from Los Angeles to Miami to remove 500 to 600 pairs of sneakers from his shrine-like storage room.

However, three stunning 14-karat gold chandeliers decked out with Swarovski crystals remain.
