Wall Street can always do with a few laughs. Funny or Die, the comedy video platform and TV/movie production company founded by Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Chris Henchy, is taking its act to 44 Wall St.
Funny or Die will move its sales team from 276 Fifth Ave. into 3,131 square feet at the prewar tower owned by Blackstone Group affiliate Equity Office.
Funny or Die is a different kind of tenant for 44 Wall, which is undergoing modernization and is home to traditional tenants such as law firm Cullen & Dykman. Landlord reps wouldn’t comment on rents, but a source said the “ask” was in the mid-$50s.
Funny or Die’s products include YouTube videos starring celebrities who parody themselves to recent news events.
