Gap has signed a new lease for its current space in 15,942 square feet at 655 Third Ave. on the southeast corner of East 42 Street. The store has 8,421 square feet on the ground and 7,363 square feet on the lower level.

The fashion company has held down this prominent corner spot since 1992, and while retailers everywhere are retreating, this high-foot-traffic area continues to draw customers.

The Gap was represented by Ariel Schuster and Justin Fantasia of RKF. Building owner, The Durst Organization ownership was represented in-house by Ashlea Aaron. The asking rent was $250 per square foot.
