In celebration of this summer’s Olympics in Rio, last month Ikea launched a line of spiffy and mod Brazilian-inspired home furnishings in a jungle-y palette.

The line is adorable, and it offers a good excuse to rediscover Brazil’s rich design history, including celebrated mid-century luminaries such as Oscar Niemeyer and Sergio Rodrigues, who mixed modern minimalism with relaxed South American flair.
