Sally Hershberger, a hairdresser to the stars, has put her Hamptons home on the market for $2.75 million.

Known as the Butterfly House, the charming mid-century modernist residence was built in 1976.

It’s located at 6 Masthead Lane in East Hampton.

Hershberger, known for her pricey cuts that created iconic looks for actors and rock stars including Meg Ryan, Julia Roberts, Joan Jett and Courtney Love, purchased the residence last spring for $1.4 million, and then renovated it with 1970s-style inspiration.

“It’s everything I love about a home,” Hershberger told Gimme Shelter. “It reminds me of great, classic California architecture. It felt like a treehouse to me — lush and organic, with complete privacy. The bay is right down the street. It has the feel of a Japanese wonderland.”

At 2,391 square feet, the open-plan spread comes with two bedrooms and 2½ bathrooms — and it can be expanded up to 5,000 square feet, according to the listing.

The home opens to a loft-like great room and boasts a chef’s kitchen.

Design details include floor-to-ceiling glass walls, natural woods, cathedral ceilings, a fireplace and a wraparound deck.

Outside, there’s a pool, a lounge area, landscaped gardens, specimen trees and paths that lead to the beach on Gardiners Bay. Nature trails inside Cedar Point County Park are also nearby.

“The ‘butterfly’ roof design has been setting Long Island hearts aflutter since first seen in Marcel Breuer’s famed Geller House, and now this Hamptons landmark can be yours,” the listing notes.

Butterfly House, with its signature roofline, is the only example of this classic mid-century design in the Hamptons, said listing broker Jack Pearson of Compass, who shares the listing with Jeremy Dunham and Kyle Barisich.
