As he prepares to release his new album, “Everything Was Beautiful, And Nothing Hurt,” out on March 2, vegan musician Moby has been spotted scoping out quaint properties outside the city.
One property that appealed to his contemplative side was this midcentury home in Stamford, Conn. — not far from his native Darien — that’s on the market for $995,000. (The news was first reported by the Stamford Advocate.)

The 5,699-square-foot residence sits on 1.92 acres.
It opens to a gracious foyer that leads to a large living room and dining room, with floor-to-ceiling windows and a granite fireplace.
There’s also a cypress wood-paneled den with stone floors that leads to a patio and a pool.
Additional touches include a sun room with walls of glass, a covered terrace and a glass-walled, two-story guest house with three bedrooms.
The listing broker is Halstead Property’s Serena Richards.
