Lady Gaga recently hid out for a few weeks at a landmarked West Village townhouse while recording a new album.

A spy tells us she “traveled in and out of the house with an entourage the size of a tour bus” before flying out to California.

The property, at 53 Downing St., is publicly for sale, asking $23 million.

(If it were available to lease, it would rent for around $75,000 a month, brokers say.)

Perhaps it’s no wonder Gaga camped out there — the Italianate property comes with a coveted paparazzi-proof garage.

The gut-renovated single-family spread was built in 1857 and was redesigned by CWB Architects. The listing brokers are Leonard Steinberg, Herve Senequier, Amy Mendizabal and Calli Sarkesh of Compass.

Nearby, at 26 Downing St., developer Michael Fuchs — the business partner and childhood friend of developer Aby Rosen — is in contract to sell his townhouse, which was last asking $20.99 million.

The five-bedroom, 6¹/₂-bathroom home is 6,534 square feet. It first hit the market in 2016 for $23.5 million. The current listing brokers are Leslie J. Garfield’s Christopher Riccio and Matthew Pravda.
