The former estate of publishing magnate William Randolph Hearst is on sale (again), and at $125 million, the estate is a “bargain.”

Despite its beauty, acreage and history, the house has been a hard sell. Originally listed for $195 million several years ago, its price was cut to $135 million in 2018 before being cut further.

Described by the estate agent, The Agency, as “among the most unique trophy properties in the United States,” the Beverly House was not only home to Hearst and Marion Davies, but was the honeymoon love nest for Jacqueline and John F. Kennedy — and served as JFK’s Presidential Election Headquarters.

Film buffs will recognize it as the setting for scenes in both “The Godfather” and “The Bodyguard.”

Located three blocks from the Beverly Hills Hotel, the estate, designed by Gordan Kaufmann, features 18 bedrooms, a near Olympic-size swimming pool, tennis court, two screening rooms, a commercial-grade kitchen, terraces to accommodate 400 or more guests and grounds to accommodate more than 1,000 people, according to the listing.

It also comes complete with four security gates and several perimeter housing structures.

The Beverly House “stands as an emblem of Hollywood’s Golden Era,” the listing boasts. Inside are floor-to-ceiling windows, a two-story paneled library a formal living room with its 22-foot-high arched ceiling, spa and a Dennis Abbe mural.
