Actress Jessica Chastain is in a buying mood.

Earlier this week, she bought her San Francisco-based mom, a vegan chef, her own food truck. Now Chastain — who also turned vegan following her enrollment in a two-week cooking class — and her boyfriend, Italian fashion exec Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo, are house-hunting in New York.

The nesting couple recently toured a Murray Hill townhouse at 130 East 38th St. that is asking $3.5 million. The 1910 home, which has been gutted but not finished, has three bedrooms and 2½ bathrooms.

It’s 2,900 square feet and comes with renovation plans and permits approved by the Landmark Preservation Commission and Department of Buildings: perfect for adventurous buyers who might want to add a fifth floor solarium and roof terrace for great Empire State Building views, according to the listing.

Citi Habitats listing brokers Satish Thakersey and Ann Morreel declined to comment.
