He’s gone from MTV’s “Real World” house to a chic Los Angeles dwelling that he can call his own.
Karamo Brown, a former castmate of “The Real World: Philadelphia,” who’s now much better known as the culture expert on Netflix’s buzzy “Queer Eye” reboot, has purchased a $1.24 million home in the San Fernando Valley enclave of Woodland Hills, according to Variety.
It’s a sweet nest for Brown and his fiancé, director Ian Jordan, who have been engaged since 2018.
The 2,622-square-foot, five-bedroom spread dates to the mid-1960s, but recently underwent a renovation. Details include a white- and wood-tone kitchen that opens to a dining area, adjacent living room with sliding doors that lead outside, and a bathroom featuring his-and-his sinks and a handsome green-tiled shower.
The back yard, meanwhile, has a pool, a spa and a poolside gazebo.
The purchase is also a nice milestone for 38-year-old Brown, who’s been open about his struggles in the past — particularly a cocaine habit in his 20s.
“Cocaine made me feel more on top of things, because I have a Type A personality. I’m like go-go-go,” he told The Post. “But it was actually making me more depressed.”
He said the trauma of growing up with an abusive father had caught up with him. His lowest points included him getting violent with his boyfriends and a suicide attempt. Brown added that his time on “The Real World” also left him feeling exposed living under the lens.
But the realization that he had sired a son, now-22-year-old Jason, was what made him turn around. (Brown also adopted Jason’s half-brother, Christian, who’s now 18, in 2010.)
News of this purchase also comes at an exciting time for Brown. The third season of “Queer Eye” will premiere globally on March 15, Netflix announced in February.
