The 20-foot-wide, six-story townhouse, which dates to 1891, is on the market for $17.65 million. Neighbors on the street include Itzhak Perlman and Bob Weinstein.

The 8,000-square-foot home at 41 W. 70th St. houses six bedrooms and seven bathrooms, along with a landscaped garden, a winding steel staircase and white oak floors, and additionally boasts a balcony, patio and elevator.

It was designed by Gilbert A. Schellinger in a Renaissance Revival style. The smart-wired interior has been gut-renovated while retaining the original structural beams.
