Dennis J. Hickey, the president for North America of SNA, one of the largest global suppliers of LED lighting and video displays, is in contract to buy a three-bedroom, three-bathroom, 1,842-square-foot unit at The View in Long Island City for a record-breaking $3.9 million.

The unit, which comes with its own back patio, was asking $4.14 million.

The sale price makes his deal the highest anyone has paid for an apartment in Queens — both outright and per square foot.

The apartment comes with high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows and Manhattan skyline views.

Building amenities include access to a rooftop terrace and membership to the East Coast Club, the building’s gym, pool, spa, billiards room and screening room.

The listing broker was Greg Kyroglou, of Modern Spaces, who was “born and raised” in Astoria.
