Sure, you’ll get soaked on the $59,000-a-month rent — but while you’re soaking, the tub has a great view of Central Park.
A new rental listing offers the first inside look at 220 Central Park South, the city’s newest, and most secretive, super-luxury edifice, and where hedge-funder Ken Griffin bought a quadplex in January for a record-breaking $238 million.
Listings inside this tony tower were never previously made public. Developer Vornado Realty Trust even reportedly refused at one point to part with images of unit interiors.
But this new listing posted Saturday — a 3,114-foot unit on the 40th floor of the Robert A.M. Stern-designed skyscraper — gives a glimpse of what tens of millions of dollars can buy.
Located along Manhattan’s Billionaire’s Row, the unit comes with three bedrooms and 3½ bathrooms.
The corner 36-by-18-foot living/dining room has northern and eastern exposures, as well as views of Central Park.
The windowed kitchen, meanwhile, looks over Columbus Circle — and includes herringbone floors, Miele and Sub-Zero appliances, and a handsome white marble center island.
220 Central Park SouthTamara BeckwithThe master suite additionally includes a black and white marble-clad bathroom with a soaking tub that also looks out to Central Park, listing images show.
Additional images show oversize windows that not only look out to the park, but also to the Upper East Side, Harlem and the George Washington Bridge.
Building amenities include an 82-foot saltwater pool, a fitness center, a squash court, a library located off the lobby, a screening room and outdoor terraces.
The eye-popping rent equals what the median US household makes in an entire year, but still doesn’t break any records.
The city’s priciest rental is actually a furnished, six-bedroom spread at the Pierre that asks a sky-high $500,000 per month, according to real-estate listings portal StreetEasy.
Besides Griffin, other confirmed buyers at the building include Albert Behler, chairman and chief executive of real estate investment trust Paramount Group, who snagged a 35th-floor unit for $33.5 million.
On the 33rd floor, Brazilian billionaire Renata de Camargo Nascimento — a controlling shareholder of a cement and construction conglomerate — paid $30.19 million for an apartment.
Musician Sting and his wife, Trudie Styler, are also reported buyers.
Carrie Chiang, Loy Carlos and Andres Perea-Garzon of Corcoran are marketing this rental unit. Representatives for the brokerage declined comment.
