The home of late New York Sen. Jacob Javits and his wife, Marian, who died in February, is in contract.

During their parties and events, the co-op, at 322 E. 57th St., played host to socialites and foreign affairs titans, including Henry Kissinger.

The three-bedroom, three-bathroom duplex was asking $4.35 million and comes with a hefty $10,000 a month in maintenance fees.

The 3,300-square-foot apartment opens to a large foyer that leads to a living room with 17-foot ceilings, a woodburning fireplace with an original white stone mantel and two double-height casement windows. There’s also a glass solarium with open city views that was, we hear, where a lot of business was conducted.

The dwelling features a curved staircase with a vintage lucite handrail that heads to a formal dining room, which overlooks the living room. There’s also an eat-in kitchen with a large pantry.

The building, which was built in 1929 and comes with a neoclassical limestone facade, was designed by architect Harry M. Clawson.

The listing brokers are Stribling’s Pamela D’Arc and Peter P. Boehm.
