Marketing guru Robert Luzzi has listed his Ridgefield, Conn., estate for $4.99 million.
Luzzi was head of marketing at Estee Lauder during the 1990s, and spearheaded the brand’s longtime breast cancer awareness and fundraising campaign with Elizabeth Hurley; he also worked as Ann Taylor’s chief marketing officer.
The 10,936-square-foot home, known as Mallard Pond and located at 111 Spring Valley Road, comes with five bedrooms, five bathrooms, two half baths and seven fireplaces.
Built in 2006, the smart-wired home mixes modern conveniences with colonial style, including 10 “authentic period gas lamps lit at the touch of a switch,” the listing notes.
Other details include a second-floor “oak room” bar, multiple balconies, barrel-vaulted ceilings, moldings, trim and hand-plastered walls. A separate pavilion/studio on the property is used for meditation.
The estate sits on 5.71 stroll-worthy acres, with stone walls, meadows and a pond filled with Mallard ducks (hence the estate’s name). There’s also a heated saltwater lap pool and a spa.
The listing broker is Laura Freed Ancona, of William Pitt Julia B Fee Sotheby’s International Realty.
