The 1841 Greek Revival townhouse at 348 W. 22nd St. where Clement Clarke Moore wrote “The Night Before Christmas” poem has sold for $8 million.

The buyer plans on gut-renovating the interior and converting it back to a single-family mansion.

The 21-foot-wide townhouse, which has a rich history, was originally asking $8.65 million. It went on the market in August 2016.

Moore’s father, Benjamin Moore, was the bishop of New York and known for giving Holy Communion to US founding father and Post founder Alexander Hamilton on his deathbed.

An additional 1,923 square feet — plus more if the cellar floor is in play — can be legally added to this 4,300-square-foot home.
