Published reports make it seem like Victoria “Posh Spice” Beckham and David “Sexiest Man Alive” Beckham are about to shell out $41.2 million for a massive estate in the English countryside.

But the model and footballer haven’t even scoped out the historic property, located in the scenic Cotswolds area about two hours northwest of London. A spokesman has even said he doesn’t think the couple is interested. So that’s a rumor debunked.

Abbotswood Estate, however, remains the most expensive countryside property currently for sale in England — and for good reason.

Spread across 775 acres of rolling green hills and formal gardens are a main manse with 10 bedrooms and six bathrooms, two entrance lodges and 11 other structures (farmhouses, cottages and the like).

Don’t forget the 1,800 lambs that roam the expansive grounds.

Abbotswood even has two large lakes, its own river for trout fishing and the “potential for pheasant and partridge shoot.”

As one does in the UK.

Clive Hopkins and Atty Beor-Roberts of Knight Frank have the listing.
