Gotham Organization has been hosting online cooking and mixology classes for residents of its several buildings during the coronavirus lockdown.

Chef Felipe Donnelly from Colonia Verde delivered a live cooking and cocktail demo on Zoom for residents of The Ashland rental in Fort Greene, while Liquid Lab ran a mixology session over Zoom.

La Palapa, a Mexican restaurant that is a vendor at Gotham West Market, also led a virtual cooking class, complete with with a meal kit of necessary ingredients.

Mandarin Oriental sommelier Ini Gabriel Uko is hosting an upcoming virtual wine tasting (with wine provided to residents).

Meanwhile, residents at RXR’s 475 Clermont, also in Fort Greene, have enjoyed weekly virtual cooking classes thanks to chef-in-residence Adriana Urbina, the three-time winner of “Chopped” on the Food Network. She puts together a list of ingredients and recipes during the week and distributes them to the neighbors; on the weekends, the instructional cooking show airs.
