“Grey’s Anatomy” star Patrick Dempsey sure lives in one “McDreamy” California home.

The hunky actor insisted he’s just a supporting player when it comes to his remarkable Malibu Hills pad, profiled on the latest cover of Architectural Digest.

Even though Dempsey, 48, is looking forward to many more years inside the Frank Gehry-designed home, the star wants to make sure it’s in better shape when his family leaves someday.

“It’s fun here,” Dempsey said of the Frank Gehry-designed home on 3.24 acres, which he bought for $7 million in 2009. “You’re a caretaker and you have to be very careful to nurture it [the house] and sustain it and hand it off to someone else eventually.”

Dempsey and wife Jillian Fink share the home with their three kids, four donkeys, two goats, a tortoise, several chickens and three dogs.
