Former “trophy homes” continue to sell at crazy low prices. 

Nonagenarian billionaire film producer Sidney Kimmel, whose credits include “Crazy Rich Asians,” just sold his full-floor Central Park South spread for $18.6 million.

That’s almost $4 million less than the $22.34 million he paid for it back in 2001, according to property records. 

Other recent discounted deals include hedge fund manager Alan Howard buying Vince Viola’s Upper East Side “Versailles” mansion for $59 million — down from its original $114 million ask. Michael Daffey, a veteran ex-Goldman Sachs exec, also bought the late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s mansion for $51 million, down from its $88 million ask. 

Kimmel made his fortune with the Jones Apparel Group, then moved into producing films. He and his wife, Caroline, first listed the condo at 50 Central Park South, known as the Ritz-Carlton Residences, for $39.5 million back in 2018. 

The 27th-floor unit, designed by Thierry Despont, was profiled in Architectural Digest. It features 6,829 square feet of interior space, and Central Park views from its 1,374 square feet of outdoor space. 

The residence opens to a private landing and a foyer with Lalique windows. Details include an antique marble-clad fireplace in the living room, which connects to a wood-paneled library. There’s also a formal dining room, an eat-in kitchen, a gym and a 2,000-square-foot main bedroom.

Building amenities include access to the hotel’s gym and La Prairie Spa.

The listing brokers were Douglas Elliman’s Steven Cohen, Timothy Malone and James Lee Wall.
