Zarela Martinez.Zarela Martinez.

A historic wood-frame home at 312 E. 53rd St. once owned by Mexican cookbook author and restaurateur Zarela Martinez is now on the market as a $13,000-a-month rental.

The current owners are Robert Nacheman, a principal at Thorton Tomasetti Inc. — an engineering design services company — and Jessica Nacheman, a lawyer with Exxon Mobil Research and Engineering.

The four-story Turtle Bay home was built in 1866 by Robert and James Cunningham. Zarela sold it to the Nachemans in 2012 for $2.27 million — well below its $2.6 million asking price.

The charming home measures 2,272 square feet and comes with three bedrooms and 3½ bathrooms, along with a garden, living room, library, dining room and an open chef’s kitchen.

There’s lots of exposed brick, wide-plank pine floors and five fireplaces. Past residents include Muriel Draper, a society hostess and pal of Gertrude Stein and John Singer Sargent.

The listing brokers are Douglas Elliman’s Jason Hernandez and Lesley Steiner.
