A Venice Beach bungalow where the “it girl” fashion designer Suzanne Marchese founded her brand, RESA, has hit the market for $1.99 million, Gimme Shelter has learned.
The move comes as Marchese — whose clients include Selena Gomez, Emma Roberts, Dakota Fanning and Bella Hadid — launched RESA’s first brick-and-mortar store on famed Abbot Kinney Boulevard last fall.
The three-bedroom, two-bath spread at 1163 Nelrose Ave. comes with one of the largest backyards in Venice, notes the listing.

The kitchen. Neue FocusBorn in New York City, Marchese, a former US Weekly senior fashion editor, launched RESA in 2015 as an e-commerce brand. She bought the 1,288-square-foot bungalow — built in 1914 and thoroughly modernized — for $1.71 million in 2022.
“As a vintage collector and designer who finds endless inspiration in the past, this home has really been a reflection of who I am at my core,” Marchese told Gimme.
As for the design, Marchese said she kept the space “light and white so the vintage accents and art could really stand out.”
A few of her home’s favorite pieces are the 1960’s and ’70s light fixtures mixed with black and white photographs by Adam Franzino.
“All the pieces I sourced personally, and some even rotate through my retail store on Abbot Kinney. I love how the home blends marble, wood and subtle black accents with softer vintage textures,” Marchese said.
Having a yard has also been “such a special place for relaxing, entertaining and even hosting dinners for my business,” she said. “Ultimately, I am moving simply because I want a change and little more space, but this Venice Beach bungalow has been an incredibly meaningful canvas for my creativity.”
