Documentary filmmaker Shannah Laumeister Stern, the “secret” wife of the late celebrity photographer Bert Stern, is putting her 18th-century Sag Harbor home on the rental market this summer.
The home, which dates back to 1793, is located at 189 Main St. and asks $42,000 for the month of July, and $90,000 from July through to Labor Day.
Photographer Bert Stern.Neilson Barnard/Getty Images for The Weinstein CompanyStern took the last known photographs of a naked Marilyn Monroe six weeks before her untimely death and is also known for his shots of Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor and Madonna.
In 2011, Laumeister Stern — who is now 46 years old — released a controversial documentary about her husband called “Bert Stern: Original Madman.” The couple married secretly in 2009. Stern died in 2013, at age 83 — leaving almost everything to her in a will that has been hotly contested by his three adult children, as The Post previously reported.
The home measures 3,509 square feet. It has been restored and features four bedrooms, 3½ bathrooms, seven fireplaces, and original wide plank flooring.
There’s also a chef’s kitchen, formal dining room and a landscaped backyard with a pool and decking — all on roughly a quarter acre. The home features original artwork and photography by Bert Stern.
The listing broker is Corcoran’s Susan Lahrman.
