Academy Award-winning actor Cuba Gooding, Jr. — best known as Rod “Show me the money” Tidwell in “Jerry Maguire” — recently checked out a sprawling loft at 565 Broadway (right) owned by artist Edwina Sandys, Sir Winston Churchill’s granddaughter, and her architect husband, Richard Kaplan. The Bronx-born Gooding and his high school sweetheart wife Sara Kapfer, have three children and currently live in California. The five-bedroom, five-bathroom, 6,500-square-foot co-op is now asking $8.995 million — down from its original $10.95 million asking price. The loft is in a classic 1860s cast-iron building and was called “the most beautiful loft in SoHo” by the late architect Philip Johnson. It includes a 1,500-square-foot mezzanine accessed by two staircases, and 1874 radiators that still work. Sandys and Kaplan bought the loft in 1995 for $995,000. The listing brokers are Gabrielle Frank and Eric Liebman of Douglas Elliman.

Two-time Tony Award-winning Broadway producer Stuart Thompson and Joseph Baker III recently purchased a $2.85 million co-op at the tony Alwyn Court, at 911 Seventh Ave. The 12-story building, built in 1909, is known for its gracious layouts, high ceilings and Central Park views. Thompson and Baker currently own a seventh-floor unit at the Alwyn as well. Thompson, the producer of “The Book of Mormon” and “Shrek the Musical,” comes out this month with a revival of “No Man’s Land” and “Waiting for Godot.” He also produced “The Testament of Mary” and “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.”
