The pair bought the three-bedroom, three-bathroom perch in the Emery Roth-designed building for $3.05 million in 2012.

Isaacson, a history professor at Tulane University in his hometown of New Orleans, is the former CEO and current distinguished fellow of the Aspen Institute think tank. He was previously chairman and CEO of CNN and managing editor of Time. He has written biographies of Leonardo da Vinci, Steve Jobs and Henry Kissinger.

Last year, the Isaacsons also sold their Washington, DC, townhouse, according to reports; it had been on the market for close to $5 million.

Their Central Park West corner unit, a “classic six,” comes with over 9-foot ceiling heights and park views. The apartment opens to a foyer that leads to a living room. There’s also a formal dining room, a kitchen and a maid’s room/home office.

The listing brokers were Warburg Realty’s Bonnie Chajet and Ronnie G. Lane.
