Funny guy-slash-professional banjo player Steve Martin has sold his villa in posh St. Barts for an undisclosed price, according to the property snoops at the Wall Street Journal.
Martin had owned the 3,000-square-foot spread since 2007, but the sale took awhile. He first put it on the market for $11.24 million in 2013, before there were several price chops. Most recently, Martin was asking $7.78 million.
Steve Martin just sold his villa in St. Barts for an undisclosed price.APThe buyers are an unidentified Swiss couple who “loved the location,” the Journal reported, and it’s easy to see why. Set on a hilltop, the pad not only has ocean vistas, according to the paper, but also views of St. Martin and Anguilla islands.
As for the property itself, sure sounds like they got quite the deal: four bedrooms, a two-tiered swimming pool that looks out to the water, a covered outdoor dining space, plus a garden with a gazebo and lily pond. The master suite has its own outdoor shower and a deck with hot tub.
Christian Wattiau of Sibarth Real Estate, which is an exclusive affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate, had the listing.
