It is now asking $2.29 million, which is nearly $200,000 more than he paid for it in April.
Coates bought the home for $2.1 million in April, according to city property records.
The Prospect-Lefferts Gardens home is on a tony street filled with posh brownstones.
Coates, one of the country’s top writers on race, is best known for his political and culture pieces in the Atlantic magazine and for last year’s best-selling book “Between the World and Me.”
