1980s? More like 19-greaties.

A listed California home that looks straight out of an ’80s crime drama is having another go on the market with a new price change. For $5.99 million, a new owner can grab a perfectly preserved time capsule from that rad decade.

Located at 74380 Palo Verde Drive in the desert resort city of Indian Wells, this 1989-built property includes a mauve-tone kitchen capped by a neon light fixture, an entertaining area with mirrored ceilings and neon light trims, another kitchen with hot-pink cabinets, and a roomy outdoor area with magenta awnings and teal seats.

This single-family manse — with seven bedrooms and 14 bathrooms across 12,369 square feet and 1.53 acres — most recently asked $6.9 million in late 2019. That’s down from its 2018 ticket price for $6.99 million, and even further from the $8.5 million it asked in 2017, according to Realtor.com. And per that real-estate portal, this relic was once listed in 2003 for a mighty $16.5 million.

Described in its listing as “timeless and spectacular” and “built with the highest quality craftsmanship,” other striking features include a garage for no fewer than 20 cars.

The grounds house a main residence and an entertainment pavilion with a guest house. But the outdoor space is of particular note — not just because of the very decade-specific color choices, but also its array of palm trees, a pool with a waterfall, light-up glass brick flooring and an outdoor bar clad in sleek black tiles.

Inside, vaulted ceilings hover over a sunken living room with a semi-circular bar area and a fireplace (one of two total) next to a set of floor-to-ceiling windows.

Niloo Shams and Edgard Borquez of Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty have this listing.
