A penthouse that former New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine once rented in Hoboken’s waterfront Hudson Tea Building has sold for $3.89 million — setting a new record price for a Hoboken condo.

(The apartment at 1500 Washington St. was Corzine’s crash pad following his 2003 divorce.)

The record had been held by New York Giants’ starting quarterback Eli Manning’s former home in the same building, which sold for $3.55 million last year.

The record-breaking apartment’s owner, Bill Hearon — who works in finance as a derivative sales trader and “enjoys investing in real estate” — tells Gimme Shelter that he bought one Hudson Tea Building unit for $1.13 million in 2009 and a second unit for $1.1 million in 2013. He then spent nine months in 2014 combining them.

The 2,820-square-foot corner penthouse comes with three bedrooms and three bathrooms, and has panoramic views of Manhattan. There are 13-foot ceilings, exposed concrete beams, loft-style windows, hardwood floors and a kitchen with a wine refrigerator.

Building amenities include a gym with Peloton bikes, a children’s plalyroom, a residents’ lounge and a free shuttle to and from the train station served by the PATH and NJ Transit.
