Around Manhattan: A Champagne Cruise for Landlubbers
Begin your “virtual cruise” at Chelsea Piers, moving south along Chelsea to Battery Park City, then along the East River Esplanade past the public housing projects, and view Brooklyn Bridge Park, the Queens West development and Roosevelt Island. Then head along the channel cut at Marble Hill and into the Hudson River, before sailing downtown along Riverside Park and back to Chelsea. Narrated by the experts at American Institute of Architects, the virtual tour is done without you ever having to leave the comforts of the Center for Architecture. 6-8 pm. Rise Up & Stay Put! Home Rescue Fair
The goal of the Home Rescue Fair is to reach homeowners in the neighborhoods and communities most affected by foreclosures, and offer them free, local, non-profit housing and legal counseling services in addition to direct access to their bank. There will be one-on-one sessions with HUD-certified housing counselors and attorneys, loan specialists from major lenders including HSBC, Wells Fargo and Fannie Mae and foreclosure-prevention workshops. 10 am-3 pm.
