Opening: “Reflecting Transformations” Exhibit at the Caledonia
What an apt use of empty space! Temporarily taking over the vacant storefront at the Caledonia building, in Chelsea’s gallery district, is the exhibit “Reflecting Transformations,” which highlights urban regeneration in the area (read: the High Line, the Meatpacking District). Works by artists Yoko Ono, Cao Fei, Alyson Shotz, U-Ram Choe, Sebren Versteeg, Stephanie Rothenberg, Sean Slemon and Suzane Song will be on view. The pop-up gallery is presented by No Longer Empty, a not-for-profit group, and will remain up until Sept. 26. By that time the building will hopefully have a tenant. Opening night, 6-9 pm. Free. The Caledonia retail space, 447 W. 16th St., 917-916-9580.

There will also be a Q&A period, as well as time to network before and after the event. 7 pm. $12. 92YTribeca, 200 Hudson St., 212-601-1000.
