No need to be stuck inside on a beautiful June evening — we’ve got plenty of outdoor events, from rooftop parties to courtyard dancing to cocktails on the Hudson — to choose from.
PICK OF THE WEEK
A benefit for the lectures and exhibition programs of the Architectural League, the ball will take place at the Old American Can Factory, a late-19th century, six-building, 130,000-square-foot industrial complex on the Gowanus Canal’s Fifth Street Basin. At the event, attendees can observe activities of artisans, fabricators, artists, designers, filmmakers and publishers selected from the more than 200 creative producers who work in the space. There will be a temporary collaborative creation space where you can learn to build, bind, stitch and print, and the courtyard will feature a DJ, food, drinks and dancing. 9 pm-3 am. Tickets from $25 to $250. 232 Third St., Gowanus, Brooklyn. Visit Architecture League for more information.
