Cooper-Hewitt: Design for a Living World Exhibit Opening
Ten leading designers have developed new objects using sustainably grown and harvested materials to tell unique stories about the lifecycle of materials, the places the materials are from, and the power of conservation and design. The featured designers and places include Maya Lin/Maine; Isaac Mizrahi/Alaska; Ted Muehling/Micronesia; and Kate Spade/Bolivia. On view will be the prototypes, drawings, video interviews and finished products created by the designers. The exhibition continues through January 4, 2010.
