Cities for People: A Talk with Jan Gehl

Urban planner and Danish architect Gehl has helped transform urban environments from Copenhagen to New York based on his research into the ways people actually use the spaces where they live and work. In the book “Cities for People,” Gehl presents his latest work creating (or recreating) cityscapes on a human scale. There will be an introduction by Amanda Burden of the NYC Department of City Planning and Commissioner Janette Sadik-Khan of the NYC Department of Transportation. 6-8 pm. Free.
