The Brooklyn duplex of a hip ax-maker is on the market for $2 million.

Peter Buchanan-Smith, who grew up on his family farm in Ontario, was once a graphic designer and a design director for high-profile names like Isaac Mizrahi.

When he wanted to chop some wood with his best friend from childhood, he couldn’t find a proper ax, so he sourced one in Maine and painted it by hand.

Buchanan-Smith’s home, located at 100 Summit St. in Carroll Gardens, is on the third and fourth floors of a charming brick townhouse. The 2,500-square-foot unit features with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, oak floors, high ceilings — and four outdoor spaces, including a roof deck. There’s also a library that holds 1,000 books and includes a screening room. As an added bonus, the property comes with a modest $324 monthly maintenance fee.

The listing broker is Terry Naini, of Brown Harris Stevens.
