An Upper East Side penthouse in a mansion where designer Gloria Vanderbilt briefly lived is about to hit the market for as much as $30 million.

It was owned by her father, Reginald Claypoole Vanderbilt, and used as his home when he wasn’t in Newport, RI, for the summer season.

Vanderbilt resided there from her birth in 1924 until her father’s death in 1925, when she moved to Paris.

The 5,704-square-foot penthouse comes with around 1,522 square feet of outdoor space, four bedrooms and 4 1/2 bathrooms.

The home was built in 1891 by Robert B. Lynd and altered by William Strom in 1905.

The listing broker is Douglas Elliman’s Lauren Muss.
