The estate of dentist Arthur Kahn and his wife, Anita, has listed their Upper West Side co-op for $5.25 million.
The 14th-floor apartment at 330 W. 72nd St. once featured their world-class art collection. It included more than 80 works by Alexander Calder, who was a close friend of the couple, and many of his mobiles hung in their home.
“When there was no room left to hang the Picasso or Matisse drawings in the Kahns’ … home on the Upper West Side, the couple stacked artworks on the floor, against the wall,” according to The New York Times, which covered their blue-chip collection of Impressionist, modern and contemporary art — with 400 pieces estimated to be worth $50 million — that was auctioned by Christie’s after their deaths.
Now it’s time to sell their property — which has four bedrooms and views from Riverside Park to the Hudson River and the George Washington Bridge. Original details include high beamed ceilings and herringbone floors. There’s also a corner master suite with a spa-like bathroom.
The listing brokers are Lisa Chajet and Marcia Chesler of Warburg Realty.
