A new hipster-friendly condo tower — the first large-scale residential development in the Rockaways since Superstorm Sandy — is rising at 147 Beach 116th St.
The nine-story building, called One Sixteen, will house 90 one- to three-bedroom units, most with outdoor space, and have a common roof deck, gym and doorman.
City-run ferry service launched May 1 means a one-hour commute to Wall Street.
Apartments in the building, developed by The Marcal Group and marketed by Compass, start at $300,000. It’s not clear right now when they will hit the market.
The one downside to this development? There’s no surfboard storage, dude!
