Sony got it right the first time.

These other gaming companies name their consoles ‘Xbox’ or ‘Wii’ or ‘Nintendo Switch,’ but Sony got right to the point calling their premiere console the Playstation. That’s exactly what it is. A station you use to play most of the best-reviewed video games ever released. It’s like if there was a brand of refrigerators called “The Chilly Food Zone.” You’d know from the jump that this fridge will suit your needs.

Plus, rather than confuse the branding with an array of consoles, Sony has remained consistent in revising the Playstation that came before, releasing a new-and-improved Playstation every few years, to the delight of gamers everywhere.

The only issue with high-quality products that are always in high-demand is that there tend not to be deals (this is how the market works, check out our New York Post Business Section for more). That is, until today. This week, you can pick up a Playstation 5, the newest edition of Sony’s bestselling console, plus the award-winning game “God of War Ragnarök,” for $50 off from Amazon.

We’re not playing! But you could be as soon as Wednesday, when you pick up this PS5 bundle today from Amazon for just $509.
