Washable, dryable, and ready for real life.

That’s Ruggable’s sales pitch, and I didn’t fully buy it — until a pipe burst and the lower level of my condo flooded. Water instantly soaked the furniture, destroying the floors and requiring an immediate gutting of about two feet of drywall.

Nearly everything was ruined, but one thing that survived: my washable rug from Ruggable.

I got the decorative rug from Ruggable’s Jonathan Adler collection about a year ago, and it’s already been through a lot: plenty of dog fur, some toddler stains, a coffee spill and a whole move across boroughs. Now we can add “survived a flood” to that list.

Technically, the rug can be tossed into any washing machine on cold, but mine was on the larger side, so I sent it out for professional cleaning. And now, she’s as good as new. The couch, dining table, and upholstered bed? Not so much.

I could go on all day about why I love Ruggable’s craftsmanship. Furniture instantly loses value when you buy it, but these rugs are truly designed for whatever life unrolls. And you don’t have to replace them every time there’s a situation.
