Upon further review, this columnist badly erred in yesterday’s Post when I bashed Giants’ RB Tiki Barber for slowing down at the five-yard line to do a “check-me-out” demonstration – thus nearly being tackled – late in a loss to the Lions.

Barber, quite clearly, slowed up in disgust upon recognizing that rookie WR Thabiti Davis had been flagged, downfield, for holding.

Davis, who shortly afterwards celebrated himself for making a first down catch with the Giants losing, 31-14, and not Barber, should have been the object of my disaffection. I regret the error.
