Now that Alex Rodriguez’s version of the truth is out, he and Jose Canseco will have a good laugh about their steroid disagreement played out in Canseco’s two books.
Or maybe not.
A-Rod admitted to using steroids in an interview with ESPN’s Peter Gammons, but still called Canseco’s version of what happened “100-percent false.”
In “Vindicated”, Canseco claimed that he set Rodriguez up with a steroids dealer.
“That couldn’t be more false, that 100-percent not true,” Rodriguez said. “And it’s kind of interesting how “Sportscenter” and ESPN still quote this guy.”
In yesterday’s Post, Canseco’s lawyer, Greg Emerson, said that more details will be a lot more forthcoming and SI’s report was proof of Canseco’s accusations.
“Obviously it’s something that is substantial confirmation of what Jose has said in the past,” Emerson said. “And I think Jose said he did everything but inject him. But I think if you’ll recall, I think he said he introduced him to the right people, the right people being those who could supply him with steroids.”
