Smaller schools need to do just about everything right to pull off upsets on the road in college football.

Abilene Christian punt returner Kendall Catalon made a massive mistake in the Wildcats’ game Saturday at Missouri.

The senior transfer from Arkansas made a rookie mistake, inexplicably making a fair catch inside his team’s 1-yard line in the first quarter, instead of letting the ball bounce into the end zone for a touchback.

Naturally, the moment went viral once it hit the internet.

“Young man, what are you doing?” one Twitter user wrote about the decision. Video of the moment only blew up from there.

Even the play-by-play announcer seemed stunned, pausing before finally commenting, “Oh, on the one.”

Mistake aside, the Wildcats got off to a good start this season with wins over Lamar and Prairie View A&M. Facing Missouri has been a different story, however, with the SEC program cruising toward a victory.
